CONTINUING EDUCATION

Following initial certification, it is each EMT’s responsibility to maintain and update their EMS education by taking continuing education courses. EMS Continuing Education may be offered through ambulance services, fire/police departments, hospitals, educators and Accredited Training Institutions. Continuing Education is also a requirement to be eligible for recertification at the end of the two year certification period.

Rest in Peace George. You will be missed.Today we mourn the loss of one of our original NEMSMS board members and retired Boston EMS Captain George Murphy. George was devoted to the Service and making sure that the fallen EMS personnel received the honors and recognition they deserved.
